UW Doctoral Student Seeks Input from Parents

Gounah Cho, a doctoral student under the direction of professor Angel Fettig at the University of Washington College of Education, is inviting parents to participate in a research study called “Parents’ Use of Strategies for Managing Children’s Challenging Behavior.”

The purpose of this study is to explore how parents from diverse backgrounds manage challenging behaviors of their children with developmental delays or disabilities. Survey participants can choose to be placed in a weekly drawing for $25 gift cards.

Who: Parents of children ages 2-5 with disabilities and/or developmental delay.

What: Participation in a web-based survey that takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Survey participants can choose to be placed in a weekly drawing for $25 gift cards.

Why: To inform researchers and practitioners about parents’ approach to addressing children’s challenging behaviors and how to communicate with parents in regards to promoting children’s social-emotional development at home.
