Individual Providers and Continuing Education Opportunity

Individual Providers and Continuing Education Opportunity

Individual Providers without a Continuing Education requirement are now able to take courses online.

You can get paid for up to 12 hours of CE credits for any courses you take on or after January 1, 2025. If you were a home care aide in the past, you can take CEs to keep your home care aide certification.

Home care aides and adult child providers who need continuing education must complete 12 hours of CE by the due date to fulfill their yearly requirement.

To learn more about Continuing Education, please visit the SEIU 775 Benefits Group page at https://seiu775benefitsgroup.org/learning/continuing-education/.

Continuing Education courses are available in the following formats:

  • Online: Available anytime to take on your schedule.
  • Webinar: Scheduled, instructor-led, online courses you take at home.
  • In-person: Scheduled on-site, instructor-led training courses.

Who are individual providers?

Individual providers, or IPs, give in-home care to clients eligible for Medicaid in-home care services. Sometimes, they are friends or family members of a client. The Consumer Direct Care Network of Washington employs IPs.
