Working with the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) will give you an opportunity to build meaningful relationships and improve the lives of others by supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and out in the community.

Direct Support Professionals
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will work for a community provider that offers 24-hour instructions and support services to people with disabilities. As a DSP, you will work in the individual’s home and help the individuals maintain skills or learn new skills in the community and home.

Companion Home Provider
Companion homes are established in a typical family setting. Companion homes are based on the adult foster care model where a long-lasting relationship between the individual being supported and the provider is built.

Alternative Living Provider
Alternative Living supports are designed to help an individual maintain or increase independence at home or in the community. Individuals work with their alternative living provider on goals developed by the case manager with input from the client.
